After many conversations and a lot of organising from some amazing people, the official announcement was made at LOL 4 Ben on 22 September 2018.
A memorial site will be built in honour of Ben Shaw, at the new University Sunshine Coast (USC) Petrie Campus currently under construction.
This is a huge milestone in continuing Ben's memory and reinforcing our mission of never letting him be forgotten. It is an incredible honour and we are super proud of this initiative.
The memorial site will be a place where friends, family and anyone else can go to have a bit of 'Ben Time', say hi, catch up or just sit quietly.
Details and architecture are being finalised and more information will be released as soon as we have it.
We are expecting the site to be completed and officially opened in the second half of 2020.
