About the Event
In September 2017, the football community tragically lost one of it's own with the passing of Ben Shaw aged 15.
Each year, in Ben's memory and in collaboration with Boots for Africa we share his love of the game with those less fortunate. Throughout the year and culminating with Presentation Day's around the State, we collect all sized, new and used (good condition), football boots and sport shoes. The footwear is then sorted, boxed and shipped to Africa where they are handed out to those less fortunate and just as passionate about their football as Ben was. Thousands of children and young aduts BENefit in Ben's memory by receiving these preloved boots and sport shoes.
